Mainstream news adds social media to wildfire coverage toolkit

A couple of weeks ago, Scott Beale told CNET's Rafe Needleman that "The next disaster will be Twittered." Prescient!

We've already talked about how people are using social media to report on the fires; Rafe is particularly interested in how this event spurred traditional news outlets to start using it. Check out the KPBSNews and LATimesFires Twitter feeds.
