Leader to Pariah in a single leap

Following on from Andrew's post from LeWeb3 about delegates' discontent with the political agendas that hijacked the event, the explosion of discontent continues to ripple outwards through various blogs and posted images. I don't know Loic Le Meur myself, but I'll bet he's feeling distinctly queazy right now. From triumph (1,000 paying customers) to disaster (industry distain) in a single bound.

My interest? Well its a great case study in risk.

Considering my business' success is connected to bandwagon 2.0, I spend lot of time applying a brake to customers and our own personnel. Why am I circumspect? Well just go to Technorati and search for LeWeb3 (or simply click on it - its the top search item right now), then read the vitriol that comes up. When one bad decision can result in such an unmitigated disaster, it pays to tread cautiously.
