Worldwide Creative Commons Licenses

James Cherkoff on his Modern Marketing blog links to a PowerPoint slide which Jun Sato from Toshiba used while doing a presentation at MIT Media Lab.

It show the number of creative commons licenses by country around the world.  What I find interesting is the large number in Spain, France and Germany but how small the number is in the UK.

What does this mean?

Is it just that people in the UK are unaware of CC or just that most of the bloggers in the UK blog about what their cat had for supper and don't care if people copy them or their ideas?

Could it be that many (most?) of us use .com rather than .uk?

I think that these figures are based on the country that you select as the "Jurisdiction of your licence".

Don't know that for sure.
