from the
Qumana blog
eBay Canada have introduced member blogs to their community section. With a bit of further digging these are also available under the .com address,
http://blogs.ebay.com, and there is a link on the UK site,
http://blogs.ebay.co.uk, but the page isn't working yet.
Both eBay and
Amazon were at the forefront of the community concept with their feedback and user reviews respectively. You could even argue that these may have been the reasons for their success as they built trust which meant people were confident to buy from them.
Now they're both taking this further with eBay doing blogs and Amazon doing
product wikis of which there are now apparently
7500.
It would be interesting to do some analysis on the eBay figures to see how having a blog effects you sales.
For disclosure eBay is a Write Image client.
