Customer Advocacy edging into board room

Congratulations Fred Reicheld.

Reicheld's book The Ultimate Question published by Harvard Business School is now the number one best selling business book in both the Wall St Journal and USA Today lists.

Like all such titles you need to be discerning about what you takeaway from dipping in (does anyone read these business books cover to cover?), and how you might apply it to your own particular business scenario.

I've met believers in the Church of Fred and I've met sceptics. But if Fred is the catalyst who has forced the subject of Customer Advocacy onto the agenda in corporate boardrooms, then he has done us (anyone working in Customer Experience / Customer Advocacy) a great service.

We are experiencing a big demand from companies who have a thirst to know how to run robust enterprise-wide Customer Advocacy programs. In many cases Fred's work seems to have been the spark that lit this particular fire. And who knows, if all these new Customer Experience initiatives really bear fruit we may even get to enjoy the benefits as consumers too. Enjoy the royalties Fred.
