Before Christmas I was getting a bit weary about the A-list circuit of bloggers that I had tracked. A lot of folk seemed to be getting bit too self important, and the conversation always seemed to be a bit heated to say the least. I was never one for the playground 'he said, she said' type of arguments.
I figured it was just me, or perhaps it was because sitting here in London what do I care about who met who in some Valley mixer event? But now I see Wired has a story on the best blogfights of 2006. I don't follow this religiously but even I know they had a lot to choose from. No mention of Everyone vs Loic or BL Ochman vs Edelman.
Perhaps its not just me then.
So my New Years resolution is to clear out my RSS feeds (currently too indiscriminate, do they warrant my attention?) and makeover our Blog Roll (always a bit random from the start). There are some A-list commentators who are still worth reading, but there are also alot of unknown voices. They tend to post less frequently but to more purpose than some of the pros. More importantly, they are more relevant to my world.
Like all New Year resolutions, give me week to get started on it.
Here's one to get you started. Toby Ward who posts at IntranetBlog.com. Never met him. Don't know if he is A-List or Z-List. He's probably competitive to our own software business. Whatever. He clearly talks alot of sense about things that are relevant to me and I like that.
