Nice wrinkle ahead. Having built a community around a blog, you now will be able to interact with them via online conference call capabilities, or Skypecasts, as Skype would have us call it.

ZDnet ran the story here yesterday. Curiously, I haven't seen much pick up on it. I may have missed the point, but it seemed an interesting new dynamic, turning written conversations into spoken ones.

Hmm. Do regular bloggers actually want to chat to their readership? Professionals yes, because they have a vested interest, but regular bloggers...I'm not certain. I suspect many hide behind the safety of the medium. Its all very well A-listers meeting up and swapping notes at industry gatherings but actually having to interact with random members of the public seems scary. Or have I just been listening to too many radio phone ins?
